Crafting family legends, one adventure at a time

Welcome to Story & Co. Family Travel. I believe the best family stories are written through shared adventures, not just at the dinner table. Discover our passion, our mission, and how we turn travel dreams into unforgettable memories for every generation—and every ability.

My heritage, your adventure

My mission is rooted in the "sanctuary" of my grandfather Tom Story’s cabin on the Mississippi. Those golden summers, filled with the sound of water and the smell of the woods, taught me the true value of being totally present. I bring that passion to every trip I plan for you.

My story: where every adventure begins

My story: where every adventure begins

For me, "family time" has always been synonymous with the roar of a Ski-Doo, mud on the Jeep tires, and staying out on the water until the sun went down. Growing up at my grandfather Tom’s cabin on the Mississippi River, I learned early on that the best family memories aren't made sitting around a dinner table—they're written on the river, out on the trails, and around the campfire. I started Story & Co. to help other families build those exact kinds of legends.

Life also taught me how crucial thoughtful planning is when adventures come with extra hurdles. With years of professional caregiving under my belt—and navigating life as a family caregiver and travel companion—I learned firsthand that managing mobility challenges, medical equipment, pacing, and accessibility details requires a whole different level of care. I know that overlooking a tiny logistical detail can turn an exciting getaway into an overwhelming chore.

That’s why my approach to travel is built on a simple belief: traveling with or without a disability, or navigating life as a veteran and caregiver, should never be something you dread. It should be stress-free, empowering, and something you look forward to. I handle the heavy lifting of the logistics, accessibility checks, and pacing so you can focus entirely on the joy of the journey.

Overcoming vacation fatigue: the "anchor & pivot" strategy

Most families feel pressured to do everything as one giant group 24/7, leading to "vacation fatigue." Grandparents want to relax, parents want to unwind, kids have endless energy, and family members with accessibility or pacing needs require room to rest. When everyone is forced into a rigid, one-size-fits-all schedule, someone always ends up exhausted.

My "Anchor & Pivot" strategy solves this. I design itineraries around one meaningful "Anchor Activity" per day for the whole group, backed up by flexible "Pivot Options." This way, everyone can adjust based on their energy levels, sensory needs, or physical capacity without missing out on the joy of the trip.

Crafting unique experiences: the "basecamp" philosophy

What makes Story & Co. Family Travel truly unique? I embrace the "Basecamp" philosophy. Instead of treating a cruise ship, resort, or hotel as just a room to sleep in, I use these high-end hubs as a seamless launchpad for rugged, real-world exploration—always keeping accessibility, medical logistics, and comfort front and center.

Whether we are vetting local off-roading trails for Jeep enthusiasts, organizing multi-generational family cruises, or pacing a trip for a veteran and their caregiver, I handle the logistics so you don't have to. I also solve the "Kidfluence" factor, ensuring every generation is engaged, safe, and excited for the journey ahead.
